Big Splash Coach

Bob Stoops wanted the ND job, but things did not work out there. Could Bob Stoops be lurking?

Any interest in Brent Venables?

"Big Game Bob" IMO he is interested in one thing adding another BCS national championship to his resume'.

he is a rather young head coach - with one hell of a career under his belt.. Leaving OU now - when he has said NO year in and out and its a mighty fine list of schools that received the NO response..

Gotta think he'll call his mentor/mentors *if* he had any interest whatsoever if making a move to Knoxville..

Brent Venables? Check out his pals.. BV is a long assed way from being a HC - but he could put together a nice staff - one Tootsie you'd had with a misguided passion.

God Bless Randy Walker...

Someone at volscat said the Big Splash interested in UT is Spurrier. No links yet.

According to the poster:
Quote:

He was on the sportscast.... they asked him his opinion of what happened.. he said that it was a bit of a suprize to everyone.. He said he could understand him wanting to be "back home" and wished him well.. when asked about a new coach he said it was one of the top schools in the nation and there was probably a list of 20 names that they were pursuing.. then they asked him if he was on the list, and he replied.. "Probably not.. but I wouldn't say no to it"..

I admit it I'm a softie for the OBC. Would've loved to have him at one point in time.

I don;t believe that Hammy would entertain thoughts of that unless it was down to Spurrier, Fulmer, and Cutcliffe.
