what prompted him to leave now? Did he think this was his only opportunity to get the USC job? Did he figure it would be easier to win in the Pac10 vs the SEC? Didn't have to recruit against the likes of UF, LSU, UGA or UA? Pat Forde was really surprised that Kiffin was even offered the job. What did he say on ESPNNews? Something like, "You've got to be kidding me." One SC grad that I know, just called me and he ain't happy with the selection. Wonder if the alumni feel the same? |

My opinion is that USC was a his dream job. He loved it out there. Rich in talent. Remember that Mike Garrett is not making the calls there. He is on his way out the door. Lots of people who wanted Kiffin and Orgeron back. Now they get Monte, David Reaves, and Jim Cregg. |

USC is getting ready to get hammered by the NCAA too. That's why Carroll left in the first place. |

Well, Kiff has a lot to prove if he's ever going to live out of daddy's spotlight. This will be a hell of a lot easier for him. Tennessee was a big job and there were those here that questioned whether he could do it. Obviously, he didn't think he could....or that this was the easier path. So fuck him. Move on to greener pastures. |
