Talk That South Carolina Making Defensive Changes For Vols

Rumor that I read on ESPN was that South Carolina was working on some defensive changes for the Vols.

This does not bother me because our coaches have seen any defense that they could [possibly run. Our guys just faced a 3-4 defense and if SC switches from their base 4-3 and runs some variation of a 3-4, our linemen will pick up the reads easily.

Part of running a 3-4 stipulates that you had better have some big hosses in the middle who can play a 3 technique. If not, it would likely be a long game for the SC defense. You just don't make the switch overnight, so I doubt that we see that.

Ellis Johnson is a good DC. I'm not taking this game lightly at all.

I think that they don't want Hardesty to do another 250+ yard "Ingram" on them ... the holes that were created by the Alabama line on that USC Jr. defense had to be absolutely embarrassing for Johnson.
