Probably wishful thinking on my part, because I've always thought it would be cool for UT to have a special 'alternate' jersey to wear once every 10 years or so...kinda like what Notre Dame does with the green jersey every now and then, and some other schools with slight variations for special occasions. I've always thought we should have a 'once in a blue moon' black jersey...kids would love it, and truth be told that's really what it's all about. Motivation and recruiting tool. Anyway, wishfull thinking: I'd hope Hamilton would debunk that rumor now even if it were true. Kinda defeats the purpose of those jerseys if everyone knows you are going to wear them before you run out the tunnel for kickoff. I'd want 'em to come out and warm up in the orange, then go in and change. |

Even if you don;t wear them in the game, come out in them for warm ups. Think if the money that can and would be made in sales of alternate jerseys to the fan base. It would be HUGE$$$! |

Another good reason. Old people dont like the new jerseys, but it's not old people that win football games. Old people just pay for it, and they will keep paying for it even if ut comes out in a pink jersey...so long as they are winning, anyway... |

I loved the old jersey they wore in the UNLV game when Brent Schaeffer made his debut. You know, the white jersey with orange in the shoulder pad area. |
