Kiffin says Crompton is "phenomenal" in practice JC had another great week of practice. David Reaves is earning his pay as a QB coach. This will go a long way in recruiting top QBs to UT. The prospects want to be coached and groomed by coaches with reputations as QB gurus. This is good news for the Vols, as this shapes up to be a very good game and opportunity for the Vols to gain all so important momentum. |

He had a great practice last week too, and then had one of the best days a QB has had against Bama this year. I look for a good game from JC, he is improving every week. Amazing what the staff has accomplished with him, really. |

Alright...let's not get punch drunk here...... I'll allow Crompy one bad pass per game to give him a little wriggle room..... |

I tried to tell you people before the season started that Crompy was going to be OK. Took a litter longer than I expected, but he is finally there. Wasn't all him of course. He got no help from his WR's early in the season. Now that they're seemingly together and on the same page he has been very good. I also think that he has employed the I Dont Give A Shit What Happens attitude. I dont know how else to describe it. His on the field mannerisms right now are light years away from the start of the season, and he doesnt have that zombie like dead look/stare in his eyes. Take the end of the Bama game for instance. He knelt calmly on the sideline and when the kick was blocked. he didnt fall to the ground and weep and shit like he has done in the past. You could see the obvious disappointment, but at the same time the taking it like a man attitude took over almost immediately. Thats a HUGE step for him and I dont know what caused it to kick in, but it started somewhere in the 2nd half of the Auburn game. |

Leggo I will give you credit, you had faith in Crompy. I know I didn't - but CLK knows what he is doing. If anyone can make a SEC level QB out of JC, I have a lot of faith in that coach. I know it's two games - but you can definitely see that JC's timing is much better, and of course with that has come better accuracy. |

I noticed a difference the second half of Auburn game, and specifically the 4th qtr. He started hitting receivers...had some drops in 3rd qtr...but the scoring drives in 4th were significant because he actually started hitting the receivers instead of over and under throwing. Then, he and the receivers started doing some work on their own...plus, it was time for the game to start slowing down. And you have to give props to the staff...I noticed CLK talking about JC being a perfectionist and getting upset. I think he was just wanting it SO bad he was too hyper. Now he's relaxing and playing. Hope he can keep it up. |

Exactly... Jon Cromptana with the Drive in the fourth quarter and the Catch by Denarius Moore to make the final score look better. I thought about taking a little jab like that after the loss since the turnaround was so remarkable, but I certainly didn't expect it to continue. |
