A Very Manly Man

The delimma facing our opponents now is that if they run away from Berry...they must face Janzen. Nobody on any team has a pair of safeties that hit like these two......Geeze Louise I would love for Berry to stick around so I can watch these two together another year. We might never have two this good at the same time again......

As a lifelong Chicago Bears fan, I'm biased. Ok, there's your disclaimer. :D

That said, the two hardest-hitting, most savage DB's I've ever seen on one team, playing at the same time were Gary Fencik and Doug Plank. Berry and Janzen remind me of them. Ice in their veins, clean players but....guys who will rip your chest open with a hit.....then, just walk away.

Been there, done that, will do it again.

As much as we'll enjoy these two this season, God-willing they stay healthy --- can you imagine them next season if Berry stays? And for what it's worth, I don't think it's a given he leaves. He may well look at what's coming in, see the direction of the program (let's say we finish with a great record and a strong bowl appearance) and say "you know what...I need to stay and help this program go one more level back up to where we belong...and who's going to coach me in the NFL better than Coach Monte?"

Just thinking out loud here.
