Tree hug'n, bleed'n heart, lazy luv'n, global warm'n token liberal

When watching the Florida game, and games previous, I've been very impressed with the aggressive, hard-nosed tackling.

Well, with the exception of DB Art Evans.

On Saturday, I saw two plays where Evans (#25) hesitated while the runner did a couple of quick jigs and then blew past Evans. On the first, it cost the Vols about 10-15 yards. And, on the second Evans flailed on the runner and he picked up another 8. He was like a deer in the headlights. Not that Evans hasn't made some tackles, but he just isn't making aggressive plays that the rest of the team has been doing.

I wondered if Kiffin might remove him ... then read this today:

Quote:

Making a Move?: Brent Vinson worked at corner in place of Art Evans. Ben Martin got time at defensive end with the starters.

It's a new team ... more Janzen Jackson hitting and less Art Evans hesitation.

Yep. Evans tackles like a girl, but covers well. Got to be physical to play for Kiffin though. Vinson was going to play more and more anyway, he is talented.
