Hello,

This is a special visual story in regards to all those who have come to Mt. SAC, played and moved on. It talks about those in the past and present and those like Lamaison and Craft and others who are trying to make a future for themselves in football.

Take a read:

Whenever I think of Mt. SAC, I usually think of the famous relays in track. I was not aware of the football tradition there. Very impressive.

JUCO players are very good for re-building programs or when established programs have pressing needs to fill. You will not likely see USC, Texas,Oklahoma, Alabama, Florida, et al... working the JUCO route, but it is a very viable option for schools lacking the traditional recruiting base in their home state.

Yeah the Mt. SAC relays are historic.... been goin ever since 1950's...

people are not knowledgeable with how big the football program is out here... it continues to get bigger as the years go on.... as coaches change hands (asst.) we always manage to find quality replacements....

so in that sense it helps us tremendously with recruiting and their networking too.

I think lately though, a lot of D1's are starting to look at JUCO .... added that the effects of the budget crisis were in right now nationwide.. a lot of players who were 4 yaers... are bouncing back to go at JC's for a year and then move back in the mix....

I can tell u for a fact....

USC's Pete Carroll is wanting to open up a pipeline of players from Mt. SAC to USC.. because of the good education program that they have for student athletes....

along with that he's able to provide players to look at Mt. SAC as a school to bounce back to.. cus he came by the campus 2-3x and says he loves it... so .. well see.
