Silent QB Commitment?

First, the silent commitment stuff doesn't normally pass the smell test with me.

However, I can see a 17 year old kid wanting the other schools to give him some breathing room if he feels pressured into making a commitment with a school he regrets committing to.

One of the two ND commitments? Rees or Hendrix.

Tux, I think you or somebody said it well earlier. It doesn't really matter where they are committed now, it only matters when they sign on that dotted line!

Tux I don't see the point of a silent commitment, especially at QB, especially this year. We need to let everyone know if we have a good QB in the 2010 class, because it helps to recruit other offensive guys. Guys like Ambles, Milton, and some OL are looking to see if we get a good QB in this class.

I am merely pointing out what I read somewhere else.

I don't see the point of silent commitments anyway, but I am hearing this may very well be the case for right now.

The talk is that we could be hearing news as soon as Monday.

Tyler Bray? Garrett Grayson? Barry Brunetti? Phillip Sims? Tommy Rees?

Could the news be that of a college QB is transferring to Tennessee?

There are a number of programs that may be in the process of culling the herd...

The kid oouta Brenham who is the prototypical "pro style QB - who stunk it up at LSU last year would be a good fit for Kiffin. He'll have a difficult time getting back on the field (think R. Clausen) as IMO LSU has a kid, true freshman, who'll give SEC DC's nightmares and Less "with more" Miles will get him on the field..

I am hearing that Paul Jones, who had committed to Penn State is the QB who may be changing his mind and is the silent QB commitment to the Vols.

Today is the day....is it just an unfounded rumor or will it materialize?

Phillip Sims, Paul Jones, Tyler Bray, Tim Hendrix, Tommy Rees, Chase Rettig?

I have heard some rumors on Jones, but also that he has broken his ankle and won't even play in 2009, his senior season
