VQ: Commitment Announcement Tuesday
Posted by *TennesseeTuxedo (Admins) at Today, 10:36 AM. 3 comments
Fortenberrry has acknowledged that there will be a commitment announcement on Tuesday. He then said that we could possibly see a few more announcements in June.
Speculation is that it will be a safety.

Disturbing baseball news

My favorite player, freshman Richard Carter has decided to leave the baseball program via Twitter. He was one of our talented young players. For a team in this kind of shape already losing a future player like this is kind of disturbing news. You think Serrano could be at fault here?
Rumor about Florida softball team one of craziest things I've heard
Posted by gatewayghost (Members) at Yesterday, 6:47 PM. 0 comments
3 of Florida's best players were kicked of the softball team the day of the 1st round of the NCAA tournament, in which Florida would lose their 1st game. These 3 players, all white, according to people in Gainsville made racial comments about the black girls on team via twitter. Half the team refused to play if the 3 girls were not kicked off the team so Walton (florida's coach), to avoid this crises, kicked the 3 off.
Why Bray should stay even if he has great year
Posted by gatewayghost (Members) at Yesterday, 2:07 PM. 10 comments
First of all, QB's who leave after their junior years typically don't do well in the NFL. He also is going to have a very veteran and dominant offensive line his senior year, I'm projecting anyway. I also don't think that Justin Hunter is going to have the dominating year this year as most of you feel. History has shown when players come of those knee and ankle injuries, it takes a year to recover, probably more so mentally than physically. So I think Hunter will be staged to have one of the biggest years ever from a UT receiver in 13'. I actually can say I'm pretty exited about the 13' team with or without Hunter and Bray.

Supposedly Dooley was talking about evauating things when someone stood up and said "We hear all this stuff about doing evaluations, so when are you going to evaluate the job you are doing?"
I don't think Dooley has done anything to deserve this. As a matter of fact, considering nearly the entire staff left, it was a miracle we had as good of a recruiting class as we did. Spring practice seemed to go well. If this type of stuff continues they should just quit having that thing.

For all of you moaners, groaners, nervous nellies, and fainters the Vols Spring Semester GPAs are coming out. According to Brent Hubbs, it will be around a 2.7.
Patterson's ETA

We don't expect Cordarrelle Patterson to be in Knoxville till second session summer school at the earliest. Patterson is spending this month and June finishing up course work in a couple of classes to take care of his junior college and admission requirements. It's always been the plan that Patterson would not be here till second session of summer school.-- VQ

SEC and B12 Champions To meet In New Bowl series
Interesting.
It is good to see that the Big 12 is finally stepping to the plate and play with the big boys.

Brent Hubbs continues to lavish praise and rave reviews on new Tennessee cornerbacks coach, Derrick Ainsley. Apparently the energetic young coach is a whirling dervish out on the recruiting trail and Hubbs reports from conversations with recruits and high school coaches continue to designate Ainsley as a potential recruiting star.
Because of the work of Ainsley and others, the camps next month should be the most talent laiden of Dooley's short tenure at UT. The staff is expecting two or three dozen top prospects to be in Knoxville for camps and or visits.
The staff's No. 1 recruiter over the past two years, Darin Hinshaw, has also been logging some serious air miles. He has been to California recently and of course, is the lead recruiter in Memphis and is still working Florida as well.
