Said to be the "greatest year in film history", and from the films I've seen .. 1939 certainly holds up to the name. Nearing the end of the 30s, films began to burst forth new creativity and promise. Discuss your favorites from 1939 here ![]() My personal favorites: The Wizard of Oz Gone with the Wind (a recent favorite, I actually despised this movie until.. 9 months ago.) Goodbye, Mr. Chips Dark Victory (Bette.. oh, Bette) Ninotchka (I believe this is my second favorite comedy of all time!) |
