When asked where he was getting gas, Brooks says: "Uh right here, uh, where that gentleman is at right now on the fuel right there on the very end." Don't fall for Craig's trick when Craig says "far right" !!! Brooks knows what he, himself, means! Craig is just being tricky!!! That's the whole point! And Brooks is being filmed by the jersey barriers because that's where he first sees the plane, as he was getting ready to cross the street. The business about "a couple of minutes" is just the time spent changing location for the interview (!!!); it doesn't have anything to do with Brooks' sighting of a plane! I guess I need to tighten up that part of my report; to make that plain. Thanks for going over this; my report will be stronger.

That's what i thought at first! But i think we could be victims of too much obfuscation and could be misinterpreting that. Like we've got CITitis or something and are refusing to believe everything they've said. In the interview, there is a guy getting fuel at the other pump too, and of the four pumps there, the farthest one on the right is the one with the van (there's also a minivan at the near right pump too). But anyway, i'm not sure we'll ever know who's right about that part comrade! What do you think about my idea that brooks' car is the one lagasse almost hits, as it circles out of the area between the two cameras, where the brooks interview took place (near enough)? I've just caught up on the Hemphill Tapes. Classic stuff. I saw people arguing with you on a thread about what he meant by "right shoulder"!!! Unbelievable! Looking forward to the report! I'm thinking lagasse's tape (CIT interview) would have been CONSIDERABLY different if it had been filmed from the correct place. Certainly more so than i thought while making my vid. |

I thought of that as well. But after watching the footage dozens of times, I spotted a car "out back" which seems to fit almost all of Brooks' earlier (LOC) statements; that car then swings around and I draw an arrow to it, as it's off to the side of the Citgo. If Brooks ever identifies which car is/was his, I'm pretty sure it will be that one. Thanks for all your help! Debs Edited by YougeneDebs, May 31 2010, 07:01 AM.
