I haven¡¯t followed Nike¡¯s offerings for that long. In fact, Nike Air Max 2013 the only Nike shoe I¡¯ve spent time running in prior to this year was the Nike Zoom Streak XC 3 (now sold, with an updated upper design, as the Zoom Streak LT 2). This year I¡¯ve run in three Nike shoes: Terra Kiger v1, Kiger v2 and the Zoom Elite 7. Just like I was pleasantly surprised with the Kiger, and quite impressed with the Kiger 2, I was also somewhat impressed with the Elite 7 when trying it on. I had tried on the Pegasus 31 not long before, and while the Elite 7 has some similarities to the Peg 31 (even beyond its looks), I found the fit and feel of the Elite to be a little more to my liking. The main differences are a lower drop at 8mm compared to the 10mm of the Peg, firmer midsole, forefoot zoom unit (Peg 31 only has one in the heel) and slightly lower stack heights.I¡¯ve now run well over 75 miles in the Zoom Elite 7, about 50% on road and 50% on mostly hardpack, non-technical trail. Below are my thoughts at this point.

I¡¯m mixed about the use of Flywire in the upper. While I haven¡¯t had any major problems, the midfoot lockdown and lateral stability on the platform is not as good as what I¡¯m used to with inov- Nike Air Max+ 2013 Femme 8 or Merrell shoes. I¡¯ve come to terms with this though and just don¡¯t use the shoe on more technical terrain which requires a more secure fit (and a sharper midsole; more on that below). If the upper wasn¡¯t as comfortable as it is, I¡¯d be unhappy with the security of it; as it is, the fit is still very nice and comfortable for even long outings.

I¡¯ve found the the fit of the Lunarglide 5 to be different than a lot of other Nike¡¯s I¡¯ve tried. I have plenty of room in the forefoot (and the stretchy upper in the forefoot is awesome), but the midfoot is quite snug. This has improved a bit as the shoes have broken in, but it¡¯s something to be wary of if you have a high-volume foot. A swap to a thinner insole will help.

I recently purchased a pair of Nike Lunarglide 5¡¯s for a consulting project that I was working on. I didn¡¯t really know much about the shoe, and it¡¯s not one that I¡¯d considered before because it has a bit more heel to forefoot drop than I typically like in a running shoe. But, when I tried them on at a nearby Nike outlet I was intrigued. Great looking shoe, very well made, super comfortable upper, and a nice cushy sole (the latter tends to work well for me). They did fit a bit snug through the midfoot, but I couldn¡¯t help but take them out on a ¡°real¡± run (i.e., not while filming on treadmill).

Internally, the Wildhorse upper is almost completely seamless from the midfoot forward ¨C there is just a bit of stitching at the junction of the midfoot and forefoot on each side. The interior lining is a soft, sock-like mesh and seems like it could handle sockless running without too much issue (have not tried this myself yet ¨C too cold up here). One issue I did have initially was some friction at the back of the heel associated with heel slippage. I was worried that I might get some blistering, but the problem seemed to resolve itself after a few runs.

You’ve seen woodgrain Nike SB Janoskis, and even a cork pair, but Nike Air Max+ 2013 Homme a solid-wood pair? There’s a first time for everything!Presumably put together as some kind of promotional one-off, these are the Nike SB Stefan Janoski clogs, constituted of solid wood and shaped in the style of the traditional Dutch footwear. “Panels” and a tongue-tag are painted on to bring the aesthetics in line with the classic Janoski, and ornamental eyelets are even drilled in, allowing the classic skate shoe’s once-signature leather laces to join the party. We’re guessing there aren’t a ton of Nike SB Stefan Janoski clogs floating around out there, s Nike Air Max 1 o you’ll have to live vicariously through a better look below.
