Just before the May 1st Holiday over there (its a biggie for them) the price shot up to E 1.48 exhange rate roughly $1.50 to E.100works out to about $2.20per liter!!!! or $8.44 per US gallon And WE are bitchin'? So many live long distances from family and work.... and it's been this way for a long long time. We are so dependent on our cars, and we are now going to suffer (and then there are those large SUV's that North Americans seem to love).

Yes, the yanks are groaning right now.... and in most places it's not up to $4. per gal. A little wine with that cheese?
