I nominate Jimmy Carter, who, by extending credit to people without a credit rating, is the root cause for the depression that began last year. Ans let us not Carter's blundering with the Iran hostage crisis, which was settled even before Ronald Reagan was inaugurated. Iran knew that Reagan would come and get them! As for Bush, he got stuck with trying to finish the job that his father had started with Desert Storm, but had left Saddam Hussein in charge. Complete nonsense. If you want to talk about Reagan, he was going to be impeached because he was selling arms to the Iranians, which was part of the deal he made with them to get the hostages freed. Reagan wasn't going to get anyone, and the Iranains weren't scared of him because they suckered him imto selling them missiles. The rescue attempt by Carter was the American planes that crashed in the desert because of a storm, Carter wasn't flying the planes. Bush is a war criminal like Hitler was because he illegally invaded Iran, a country that was no threat to the US and he lied to the UN and the US Congress about weapons of mass destruction. Bush should get hauled off to Nuremburg and face a trial.

He's in there for a 4 year term good or bad. The American people chose him. Now we have to wait and see how he does. I'm willing.... (like what choice do I have anyway?) xray: The President of the United States is not elected by a popular vote of the people -- and never has been. The president is elected by the Electorial College, the members of which are selected by the Several States and who, as members, represent the states, not the people. Just a technical point. RO

Reagan was selling arms to the Contras, not to the Iranians. The missles the Iranians got from the US were so low tech that they could hit the side of a barn at low altitude. Carter botched the rescue attemp because he sent those aircraft into the desert even when his military advisors told him that dust storms were very common during the time of year that he wanted to rescue the hostages. I haven't seen a US President that was a war criminal and I've been around sine the days of Harry S Truman! RO
