Cabanabear123 Posts: 187 Group: Moderator Member #18 Joined: Sep 19, 2008	How to season a cast iron skillet First off you need a cast iron skillet Some Crisco Wipe the inside of the skillet with the Crisco and bake at medium for 15 minutes or so... Yes, it turns black That is the end goal Repeat this 5 or 6 times before using it... NEVER scrub your cast iron or use soap of any kind. Just use water and wipe it down for the life of the skillet.
