games, music, graphics, writing admin (yea, that's a lot) Posts: 83 Group: Admins Member #1 Joined: Nov 26, 2008	the weekly gallery begins now. at the moment, all images are drawn by kyle burden (AKA darthmarus) if you are interested in subbiting material to the CDC weekly gallery then PM me either here or on yoyogames.com. let's begin...... samus pose study samus aran, galactic bounty hunter and awsome brawl character. this was done using markers and a pen for some shading. this is a pose study. self critique- she is proportioned like a 10-year old, her head is far too big. that is really my most common problem, the oversized head. a hike in the woods concept art for coda series. this will never actually aper in the game, because you never have more than one helper at a time. colored pencils. ambush the orc one in my little mage series (you will be seeing plenty of that soon, believe me) a highly stylized version of the typical "orc" (it isn't just a goblin anymore.) markers and non-photo pencil. "yeah, you" the title says it all. figure the story this tells out for yourself. markers, colored pencil, non-photo pencil, photoshop color level adjustment. fire blast heavily inspired by mario's final smash in SSBB. markers. flatblast this is all about lines of force. the entire drawing is defined by the direction your eyes travel. markers. that girl in the corner of my art class she never even looked up. this is what happens so often, i pick a person at random and draw them for 10 minutes and they never know. markers. battle of elements there is no way i am the first to use that title. anyway, this is a very chaotic piece that doesn't have any primary colors, interestingly enough. in fact, all of my "mage" drawings in this gallery other than the fire one use only cool colors.... coincidence? markers. (don't ask) i think that is a good spot to finish this "issue." i have plenty more where that came from (and am to lazy to scan). if you have artwork you would like posted here, don't be afraid to ask, the answer will probably be yes. -darthmarus Edited by darthmarus, Dec 8 2008, 08:43 PM.
