Ive heard that polypterus delhezi have very large mouths and are extremely opportunistic feeders...Im just wondering what size of a fish they will eat? Thanks

I've heard that it should be at least 6 inches, considering Bengal Danios get eaten but the largest rainbows don't. I've also seen them take angelfish.

Hmmm.... tankmates for delhezi bichirs.. If you could afford it datnoids would do good with the discus and bichir. Especaillly the American tiger or Thin-bar. You could also try redhooks, or silverdollars.

Discus are fine, it's the frailness of the fins in particular that's a temptation to them, and discus don't have very extravagant fins. A 5-6" discus will be fine.

k :) I know this sounds stupid BUT my delhezi seems to be pretty timid... the discus would scare him...and he would be the last to feed ect..
