Is it normal for Synodontis Eupterus to swim upside down, can anyone give me some backround information?

He is small, well I actually own 2 of them and one is about 1.2 inches and the other is about 2 inches. I think thats juvies.

Yes thats normal. Feed them flakes, cut up shrimp and they'll grow like weeds.

i have two Eupterus syno's,they are my favorite fish besides gourami's.MINE swim upsidedown all the time,they like the bottom of the wood stump i have in the 180,and these guys are growing like crazy. :P ,i'll try and get some pic's but they hide very well.
