For all you Federer fans, the man is back at no.1.. at least for a couple of weeks. Cemented his place as the greatest tennis player for our generation.

Just cannot help feeling sorry for Murray, but I wanted Fed to win, as his days are almost numbered. Murray has many more good years!

To be honest, if Federer had lost to Murray I wouldn't have felt too bad as Murray is deserving of a slam. But alas, Federer out played him when he started connecting with his forehands and mixing up his play by going to the net.

I might say that this Wimbledon could be Federer's swan song, retirement beckoning after winning once more on the surface he has dominated for so many years. That is unless he can dig deep and pull off another win on the hard courts of the US Open, an unlikely proposition with the younger players reaching the top of their form.

yup. Fed is like an uncle out there with the young upstarts all over him :haha: :haha:

but kudos to his game yesterday. the forehands n backhands were simply awesome!
