As seen on Eidos forums as part of my Paint Shop [Fun] competition I'm not at all expert in the basic Paint programme so no need for false flattery I don't have a tablet either so my unsteady mouse shows up big time whereby straight lines don't apply! Medipack: ![]() Pistols: ![]() Flares (shown on CMF):

Gee, thanks Mr Croft I think the first one was the worst. I quite like the pistols but they took a long time to complete. I was working on them for hours, spread over a few days when I could make time to add to them! Glad you liked my pics!

Great job!!! I gave up on pain a long time ago.
It's hard to use. But it looks like it's not hard for you.

Thanks ever so much, Tessa! I'm quite pleased with how the pistols turned out but the other two are a bit novice-like!! I actually find it quite easy to use but that said, there are functions I am not very good at understanding and/or applying so I stick with just the basic tools (and it really shows in that Medipack contribution)

Wow Lo! They look good! I'm still trying to get the hang of it even though I have a class for it!

I can sketch stuff and I can do manga style drawings of Lara, but that's pretty much it! Why not have a contest!

I remember the paint contest on CMF. That was fun I think a contest should be here but it could be general art styles, not just paint, then we're not limited to just a few tools, although it was fun seeing what other people used in the same program. |

Good idea Max! That's exactly what I was thinking too! ![]() Maybe we could do an art gathering similar to what DeviantArt/Tomb Raider BE/Eidos Forums does. Someone chooses a topic, then we make something (with any mediums available) based on that topic. |

Well the point of the Paint Contest in all truth, Max, was it gave everyone a very equal and fair chance. Basic Paint programmes allow for folk who may not be typically artistic to have a fair go at producing something half-way decent. I fear that, if you were to allow a large variety of entries using varying methods then the fairness would diminish in the eyes of others who may not be very proficient at, for example, pencil sketches or montages. You are subsequently, by default, making a contest so ambiguous that folks who have tablets can, by the very nature of the accuracy that they allow, outweigh anyone else's efforts who may be using Paint as a very basic tool. But that said, maybe entries should be judged by category OR just voted for fairly given that voters take into account the programme used and/or the method (free-hand for example using lead pencils and paper and thereafter scanned in). I myself am an arguably good sketcher but don't have the time nor inclination to create something on a regular basis (I REALLY have to be in the mood to sketch...or cook...or anything else that involves concentration, artistic prowess and effort LOL ).That's just my two cents though, not in any way a criticism ![]() |

If y'all can get it together, you two are more than welcome to start a paint/art contest.
