I agree! I liked the pogo stick mini-game for about 5 minutes but that was about it... I had a demo for Team Racing and I loved it, it was the closest thing to Mario Kart on the PS1.  The demo was actually an easter egg in one of my spyro games, if you entered a certain code you could unlock the demo (It worked with the Crash games too, with them you unlocked the demo to the latest spyro game), if you have any of the spyro games go check it out!

CTR was just an attempt by Sony to have a Mariokart killer wasn't it? And it failed miserably. Nothing even came close to Mariokart back in the day. In a way, I find it embarrassing watching Nintendo churn out sequels in a desperate attempt to reproduce what made the original sooo great. Every Mariokart game since the original has been poor. Mariokart R on the N64 had a good multiplayer mode but that was the last time Nintendo got it half right. And I've been playing Klonoa: Door to Phantomile again this week by the way, I downloaded the ISO for ePSXe. I'd forgotten how simplistically fun it was. |
