That makes sense. Eric Lindstrom does play the old games, but unfortunately his role appears minor in the game production. What's worse is that the new computers are starting to make the Core TR games obsolete. But it would be good that Crystal should actually playback a little to see what captured them into TR and not necessarily rely only on the fans' opinions. I don't want to see them fail either they look like they're doing well. |

Random: I don't like the themes as much in TR:2. But I do like the back ground sounds. ![]() Sorry for the randomness.

Background sounds actually count in the soundtrack, so you actually didn't go off topic there. I liked them too. The Dragon really makes me jump. It's good for a short horror film.

Same here. Specifically the Dragon. It still creeps me out! It's really scary if it's in a completely dark room! |

What ever you do DON'T play any of Resident Evil's music in the middle of the night! *hides behind chair* Is the Dragon theme the scary ghostly noises you hear in the last few levels? That noise always makes me shiver. |

Resident Evil's music creeps me out in day, let alone at night.
I just don't like any of the creaking sounds in TR. *shudders* |

Trust me, I always stay away from Resident Evil effects. Most of all don't play the first Silent Hill soundtrack at night and don't play Eternal Darkness: Sanity Requiem EVER at any time of the day or night. (I've heard stories, but never tried these things myself... and never will) Just any of the creepy sounds in TR would set me off. I can't even endure the random noises in TR1!

The Silent Hill series soundtracks are the best soundtracks ever, I've got all of them. But If you're talking about the official soundtracks freaking you out then you should listen to the complete soundtracks for each game, they're unofficial soundtracks created by fans that contain all the ambience from each game and they can be truly unnerving to listen to. I have the Resident Evil soundtracks as well (Resi 1 to Resi 4, Code: Veronica & REmake) including various orchestrations. While not as "scary" as the SH soundtracks, they're still chock full of the memories of those shocking moments from the games. If scary soundtracks are your bag though, you should get hold of the Fatal Frame series soundtracks, those are truly frightening (even more so if you've actually played the games). I have to say that I don't really like the ambient tracks from the old-skool Raiders, a lot of them are used over and over again throughout each title and it gets tiresome. OMG! I love Fatal Frame! That game never gets old. Crimson Butterfly (Akai Chou) is really scary (I've experienced all three endings). I especially love the ending themes for FF II and FFIII: Chou and Koe by Tsukiko Amano (I'm a big fan of her music, she retired her solo career a month ago ). I didn't exactly like Zero no Choritsu (the theme for FFIV) though I liked the way she used Handel's Messiah for the beginning (especially the end! It sounded like it was the person's last song and then he/she died after that!)
