I love the classics. But the one I love is the one that started it all: the very first Tomb Raider. With its unique cutscenes and (at the time) the first time that they've seen a video game character swim, and the first 3D video game character, TR1 has many innovations that stretch time. I also remember when I saw the poster advertisement (still have it!) and when i first played it. Most of us probably played this when we were about 4-6 years old. I am one of those people. As soon as I threw my first flare, I was hooked! It was fun to dodge tigers , face a giganto T-rex , and make Larson eat my dust! So how about we share some happy Lara moments? Keep em bright and keep em clean!

My first time 2 see TR1 was when mom got it at the mall & took it home, I would watch dad play it for hours!!! He says I would run away at first when the music came on, then as I got older I would come running!!(I love the music!!!! I have all of it on my iPod!! ) I am on TR3 now, playing them bye my self. I have beat 1, 2, AoD, TR:L, & TR:A. Edited by Tessa, Sep 18 2008, 05:26 PM.

I know, the music's thrilling! Whenever I get home, TR music is always the very first thing I put on (I even use it as my alarm clock! :imfao:). I also like to use their music in my movies, especially for those really flat theology prayers I have to do at school. (My friends haven't even heard of the games and they love them! My teacher gives me an A+ everytime. ;)) My favorites are AoD, TRL, and TRA mainly because they're mostly live orchestral tracks. I've also beaten TR1, 2, AoD, TRL, and TRA. Only difference is that I've beaten Chronicles and TRLR. I've just downloaded TR3 off of Apple.com (hard to believe it's still available there! :D). |

TR1 has a good sense of nostalgia. I've even felt nostalgia when I first played the game and I didn't even know what it was at the time! TR3's good too. TR2 had some mysterious elements, especially with the monk parts and stuff. |

I know. I have to borrow copies of them now! But you can download one from Apple.com. If you have a Mac it should work pretty nicely...Wait a minute, GAMETAP HAS THE CLASSICS. There may still be hope...

Well I can't. I'm not allowed to ship anything here, or buy it off Trade Me, and no one has it here. |

It's ok. Just buy it and GameTap installs it on your laptop for you. (It's not a shipping place) |

Tomb Raider 1 memories? Palace Midas, discovering the the aqueduct for the first time, that was awesome! Sanctuary of the Scion, the camera pulling riiight out as Lara walked between the Sphinx's legs, that was double awesome! Seeing the T-Rex loom out of the darkness in the Lost Valley and then running for my life into one of the nearby tunnels. Walking into the folly for the first time, looking down and not knowing where on Earth to begin. Getting completely confused by the convoluted level layout of The Cistern. Finding the last secret of the game that I was missing in Obelisk of Khamoon. Those are just a few off the top of my head. |

Folly was a hard one. I loved the hammer room. I also loved watching Lara fall to her death, and the funny sound she made when she hit.
I'm currently replaying TR1.

Surprisingly, the part I distinctly remember is walking through the caves in the first level. That was where I threw my first flare and became hooked with the game. ![]() I think I just killed a tiger at that time. :\ Either that or a raptor. |

There are no flares in TR1.
And Lions are in Folly. How ever, there are bats and wolfs in the first level.
