Hi guys & girls... I recently got a PSP, and bought Tomb Raider: Legend for it. I figured I may as well say what I think about it so far, here. (Unfortunately, it's so new it's still on its first charge... darn 8 hour wait...) I played some of TR:L on my friend's PSP, I wasn't so used to the controls, and so lost a lot of my health from falling off ledges. I'm excited about the feature on the PSP, Tomb Trials. It looks really cool, and I can't wait 'till I get to have a go at it. (The unfortunate thing is that the PSP lacks a second analog stick). The controls are different for the PSP, I think it'll take me a bit to get used to them. |

haha. Up to the last section of Nepal. It's a real ***** to do on the PSP. Must've tried 50 times EDIT: Finished it now. Minus rewards (all but 1), and time trials. Edited by RiccoG, Sep 4 2008, 03:28 AM.

I can understand that... I just managed to complete the Bolivia (Redux) time trial. *phew*. (I'd done Japan and England before I attempted). The reason it was so tough was because of the lack of second analog stick. Looking up to the bad-unknown entity was difficult to get a lock on. |

Do the cutscenes sound (I can't say look, obviously ) as good as the console versions when you put on headphones? I hate the lack of a second analog stick. I played a tiny bit of Legend on my cousin's PSP (but I had to play it on MUTE!) |

It's hard to say. I didn't notice a drop in quality when listening with headphones... (listening with the PSP speakers is bound to make junk sounds). the graphics in TR:L really took a hit, though, from the PS2 version. After playing through almost half of TR:A for PSP, I can say that the controls for TR:L for the PSP are really dispointing. The camera is the hardest part to get right for the PSP games, though. |

True, junk sounds come out whenever I play any type of music out of it. I agree with the graphics. Out of all the consoles, PS2 took the biggest hit. When I played it on my big bro's xbox, it looked awesome and the colors were really hi-def (due to his personal surgeries on the xbox to make it work like a 360). When I tried to get a copy of it myself, my gift card could only afford the PS2 version. When I played it, I was pretty happy that it had a feature that my brother's version didn't have (the intro movie) but I was slightly disappointed that Lara's facial features and Croft Manor's appearance didn't look as good as the Xbox version. But trust me, GC's version is WAY WORSE! The controls are limited and there are too many glitches and bad graphics to make the game enjoyable. They had to delete two levels because of the limited space! (thank God I don't have a GC) |

PS2 graphics for Tomb Raider: Legend were "last generation". PC has the same option (or rather, the option to go to "next generation" graphics like the Xbox360 has. I can only assume that the graphics are the same for the PC as they are for the PS2. The PSP graphics were a degradation on even the PS2 graphics. |

there was some guy on youtube who messed around with the pc version and created a lot more realistic effects on Croft Manor. It's really cool but I don't remember his profile name at the top of my head at the moment. |
