Thank God I'm not the only one thinking these things! (and thank you Spong for clarifying all that technobabble up there  )And thank goodness Toby Gard's been commissioned again. It's about time that he's allowed to take the helm again! For almost 10 years, he had to suffer the indignities of not being able to help his own "daughter"! Now he can finally place Lara on a good path and maybe take her to one of the best tombs she'll ever see in her lifetime. You've got that puzzle thing spot on you guys. Sure, realistic visuals are great. Puzzles are really stellar, especially if it's the really positive head-scratching. Those two points I can't dispute any more. But I also think that establishing a story (and maybe a free roam of the aftermath) would catch something too. Sure, the puzzle moments are really memorable. But I think the genuine meat of why those puzzles are present is the story behind all those tombs and mechanics. Think about it - no myth, no tomb to raid. No tombs to raid, no raiders to raid the tombs and play in the craziest jungle gyms in the world! |
