That link doesn't take me to page 64. There isn't a page 64 in that thread, your link takes me to the last page as I view the forum, page 43. You must have your display settings set to show less posts on a page than I do. Can you link me directly to the Tomb Raider Jay post you were talking about? |

I can't say I have ever really followed the marketing and politics side of the gaming industry but I have seen one documentary in the past that seems to suggest that TR was becoming somewhat of a liability to those responsible for creating the new games. It's as though the novelty had kinda worn off and many folks involved in the project just sort of wanted to wash their hands of it. It certainly sounds as though TR games are being released with an inexcusable amount of flaws - flaws which one would think would be tested and fully ironed out before release. I haven't played Underworld yet but have read many a critique and there appears to be a lot of disquiet in the gaming ranks. It would be a shame if the series was discontinued but as far as I am concerned, TR lost an enormous amount of appeal when the next-gen games took over. I really would prefer to play the TR:LE custom made levels over the next-gens any time. I have looked at the index list on the TRLE site and I hope to be able to learn how to get them working in a few easy steps as I believe it isn't just a case of downloading and then playing a level, there is more involved I think. I am currently playing Unfinished Business 3 - The Plain of Jars. I gave up once before but returned to it recently and am making good progress. |

I wonder if they are going to lay off any more workers in the future.... Maybe if Eidos gave up/sold the rights to TR, the next company could do better? Maybe they could bring back the attributes and qualities of the old games. The ones that got people hooked on it in the first place. Then again. It may just make it worse.... *Sigh* I doubt there will be another TR game. We're heading into another depression. |

Even better! I'll quote it!
Don't worry Tessa. I think they're be more... I don't want it to spread to another billion years for them to release another one! Maybe the fans should take over Eidos and then we can give those CD employees the time they need! Maybe I shouldn't have said that...

I have attempted to write a precis of the "Eric posts" for Wiki Raider, which was possibly the most tedious job of my entire life :). It's at http://wikiraider.com/index.php/The_%E2%80%9CEric_Lindstr%C3%B6m%E2%80%9D_posts. Please feel free to add to the discussion page connected with the article if you have any comments ... Oh my goodness. I was praying he wasn't going to be one of those laid off... Thanks for sharing Ostercy. Must have been hard editing all that. |
