W'hoo! Tomorrow night people :D
I'm really looking forwards to it, the preview trailer makes The Waters of Mars actually look really quite scary. Plus there's the whole "it's the beginning of the end..." thing that keeps getting plugged with the trailer (see the YouTube link). The Doctor was already warned by Carmen at the end of Planet of the Dead...

"You be careful because your song is ending, Sir. It is returning, it is returning through the dark...he will knock four times..."

I'm kind of excited to see how they're gonna take that forwards. Also, I think Waters has some connection to the two-part story in the second season ("The Impossible Planet" and "The Satan Pit").

Sorry for the double-post.

Waters has literally just finished and I'm giving it two thumbs up for greatness. I'd even go so far as to cut someone else's thumbs off so I could give it four. The story was excellent, "Gadget" was completely cheesy though. Loads of action at the end, giving Tennant his chance to be typically runny & shouty. It was an awesome episode! I was completely wrong in my guess that it was connected to The Impossible Planet & The Satan Pit, but that's not to say it isn't connected to another storyline.

I'm really biting my tongue though and holding back on what the story was really about, building up to the end of Tennant's time as the Doctor. It was the best aspect of Waters for me by a long way. That whole portion of the story has taken a really dark and foreboding turn. By the end of the episode, the Doctor's very much different to the man he is at the start.

And the preview for the next special (The End of Time) has got me climbing the walls.

Edit:

Oh. My. Gosh. *Faints* I've got chills! *Brother looks at me mouth wide open*

The preview to the next ep... Must. Not. Spoil. OMG! OMG! OMG!!! I can't believe my eyes!

@Tessa's spoiler
I can only hope. I must admit her appearance was the only disappointment of the trailer for The End of Time.

As for the fire on Mars thing, you need to brush up on your physics. Fire is perfectly possible in a vacuum. It doesn't last long, it's gone as soon as the oxygen is burnt up, but it's still possible. What I thought was lame was the chunk of girder falling to the ground just behind the Doctor, it fell way too fast and hard for a planet with next to no gravity. And there's a geeky fact about that girder that I found out when watching Doctor Who Confidential. Apparently it was the same piece of girder that crushed Davros in season 4's "Journey's End".

Holy crap! They used that same prop?! LMAO! I find that amusing. :lol:

Yeah, I knew there was a problem when I had a huge headache after that college level physics class. :Whistle: :P :lol:

Man, I was literally hanging off of my seat when I saw the DW trailer and then Tennant's ad. I need to catch the times. Sometimes BBC in the US broadcasts can go a bit insane with the showtimes. But I think I've almost got the rhythm of it.
I have it on HD too so I've gotta see the next episode on TV! :D
