We all love videogames and we all love movies, but what about movies based on videogames? Most of us here love the Tomb Raider movies but what about the other popular videogame franchises who have managed to get their own movies based on them? Which is your favourite? Which one do you love to hate? And of course, which one do you love but seriously don't want to admit it because it's one of your guilty pleasures? Here you can share your love or hate towards videogame movies and what experiences you've encountered while watching them. I'm not afraid to admit that I love "Street Fighter: The Movie", not the good anime ones based on Street Fighter II mind you, but the cheesy 90's one starring Jean-Claude Van Damme and Kylie Minogue. It's one of those films where you can casually watch it and switch your brain off, it's seriously fits in the "so bad it's good" category. I also secretly love to watch "House of the Dead" because it's too bad for words, it's good for all the wrong reasons and frankly it's so funny watching all the gormless and rubbish zombies stumble around (even in the actions scenes, half of the zombies just stay still when they're inches away from one of the teenagers...I know zombies don't really have brains but come on even zombies know that stupid teenagers equal food). I can't stand the Resident Evil films though, they've kinda ruined my favourite characters (such as Jill Valentine and Claire Redfield) and the character Alice just gets on my nerves with all her psychic powers; it's not really hard to survive when you have amazing powers, I mean come on! She can even punch Nemesis in the face! >.< Anyway, I'm rambling now and I haven't even started to talk about the Mortal Kombat movies yet.... So please share your love or hatred towards videogame movies before I start waffling on again. ![]() |
