Sorry to hear about the events... (a new band getting together sounds good though)

I hope you're feeling better. :)

Dude, I have to tell you what happened to the band.

So the other three guys live together in the punk rock house, right? And I went up on weekends for practice. So we had four days of practice one week, because Monday was a holiday, and everything was awesome. I go home Monday night, I go back up Friday afternoon, and they tell me that DURING THOSE THREE DAYS I WASN'T THERE the three of them took a "blood vow" to be "brothers in Christ," and that henceforth the band would be a "praise band" performing at the local born-again youth fellowship hall.

I told them I didn't think my goals were in line with the rest of the band's and while I'd enjoyed playing with them they probably ought to look for a bassist who was more in tune with what they wanted out of the music.

I then came home, put an ad up on craigslist, met a bunch of people, and am discussing starting a new band (combining the bits we like out of indie rock, punk, and surf, and actually one of the first things we did when we met was I plugged my instrument in and started playing the Team Fortress 2 theme - the main one that's really bass-heavy - and they just jumped in and started playing over top of it) with a few of them. Here's hoping on that.

What did I miss while life was eating me?

May all go well with the prospect of a new band.

The sandwich Hunt is still afoot and we have the Trojan Sandvich in a box. Check those two out and otherwise feel free to join other threads or start your own : )

Also steal a peek at the battle mechanics [and surely post any suggestions you may have concerning the topics addressed there! They're still WIP.]

Blood vow + Christian..? What sect does that happen in? o__O

On the TF2 theme bit: Priceless. XD
Ohh, do you know how to play the Engy's song? I'm having a bit of difficulty with it... my top string needs to be retuned, me thinks.

We've got a couple new members (Suong and Brianna - speaking of whom, where is the Irish lass?)... anything else you'd need to know has been speedily covered by Hugh, bless that pyro's heart. Though I fear for RED team's sanity now.

Engineer's song is quite simple - it's the beginning of "Someone Else's Song" by Wilco, and really all you're doing is strumming an A chord while alternating between the bottom and second-to-bottom strings as your anchor. http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/tabs/w/wilco/someone_elses_song_tab.htm

@José: Ahhh, thanks, this is much more clearer! The tabs I found on the TF2 wiki sounded a bit off compared to the Meet the Engy trailer.

@Hugh: How are you gonna assist the lass? Give her a boot to the head?
