The attacker must post the stats of both players in his opening thread, along with his first turn. Remember that stats will be checked; editing the stats with malicious intent will result in severe penalty. The battle boards will also NOT allow you to edit your posts, so make sure you preview your post and double check everything first.) A heavy crack resonated as a malevolent figure laid its foot through a dead piece of wood. It had been trekking through the outskirts of Avancia for days now, seeking a particular target; it was out for blood. As it continued past the comforting shadows cast by nearby trees, the pale moonlight from the red moon revealed the figure's solemn face. As an Oni, this expression was almost uniform for Genji. He rubbed a piece of debris out of his eyes as his muscular legs continued forward, completely disregarding the small obstacles in their path. He came upon a clearing with a plain view of his target. There he was. After days of searching, he had narrowed down the location of the vampire enough to finally find him. He was immediately entranced in bloodlust. Breathing heavily and muscles tensing, the Oni crouched out of the view of his prey. It wasn't just blood he was after. Genji lifted the Glowstone hanging around his neck, which emitted a faint glow. The vampire before him, Dirge, had found a Stone Shard and taken it to Avancia with him. There was nothing that would get in the Oni's way to collecting all of the pieces. (Roleplaying during battles is encouraged, but not required. If you do decide to RP, do not take control of other players' characters as if you know exactly what they would do. Only write about your own actions.) 1) Ambush: Flying Kick (Moves that can be "used in conjunction with another attack" such as Ambush are posted as above. Ambush is a basic skill listed under "Other Move" that can be used only by the Attacker.) |

Dirge paused as he passed a small pond at a clearing. A gust of wind blew his jet black hair across his face, which had suddenly grown tense. The pure glowstone hanging from his wrist was alternating between a blue and red glow, which signified both the presence of a Stone Shard and danger nearby. The vampire had recently fed off of a human in the nearby outskirts, and was in quite the fighting mood. He cracked his knuckles and scanned the clearing before him, but saw nothing out of the ordinary. As he began to turn away, the pure glowstone emitted crimson rays of light. Instinctively, the vampire turned and met his attacker with a Flying Kick of his own. The two kick collided, and the vampire was left staggering. A beam of light extended from his palm and formed a makeshift sword of aura. He immediately swung the blade of burning energy in attempt to sever the attacker's head. 1. Flying Kick (Since the attacker already posted his move for turn 1, the defender can now respond to it. Being the responding player of a turn can be considered an advantage, since he may choose to execute defensive moves to prevent damage. An ambush is unblockable, meaning its damage cannot be prevented in any way, unless evaded.) 2. Charge Aura Sword 3. Attack with Aura Sword (Players traditionally post 1 responding turn and 1 attacking turn at a time, but they may queue as many turns as they want in one post. This is not recommended because the player will no longer be able to respond on the turns they have queued, but it can be done to save time. Players may also agree to post 2 extra turns each post, for example, if they wish.) |

(A Battle Mod will eventually post in the thread with a small summary of the events so far, regardless of whether or not the other players are roleplaying. He will only post up to the turns that have been responded to (Genji did not get a turn 2 or 3 yet, so it is omitted for now) A loud crack boomed as the two beasts collided. A ripple of energy pushed the leaves and trees away from the epicenter of the clash, and the waters of the pond wavered silently. As the two forces separated, the vampire was the clearly the one who had received more damage. This didn't hinder him in the slightest, however, as he stood up straight to prepare his next assault. Character Name: Genji EL: 1,100,000 HP: 530,000/600,000 (Flying Kick deals 7% damage, multiplied by the user's EL = 70,000 damage) Stamina: 1,800/1,800 Speed: 1100 Intelligence: 1 Character Name: Dirge EL: 1,000,000 HP: 703,750/800,000 (Flying Kick deals 7% damage, multiplied by the user's EL, plus an extra 25% due to Ambush = 96,250 damage) Stamina: 2,200/2,200 Speed: 1200 Intelligence: 3 (The Battle Mod will calculate the damage and Stamina costs of the battle so far. Players can then continue posting in the same order.) |

2. Remove Weights (Training weights may be removed in combat. This takes a turn, but removes all speed-restraining weights at once. Since this character had 2 weights that decreased his speed by a total of 20%, his base speed is increased by 20% after removal of weights.) 3. OverDrive I (Players may go into OverDrive mode by using a turn for each level of OD. Doing so multiplies your stats and stamina costs for moves for the remainder of the battle, but the multipliers vary for each archetype. See the archetypes page for details.) 4. Charge Beam Volley (Since the opponent posted up to turn 3, Genji must respond to each of those turns, and at least 1 additional turn.) |

4. OverDrive I 5. Combo: Hook, Rising Palm, Back Kick (Users can make a combo as long as they want as long as they are properly chained and linked, but all moves that are listed for the combos will go on cooldown (cannot be used for 4 turns) regardless of whether or no the combo successfully hits the opponent. Read the information page for details on combos.) |
