A Well Designed System

Here is a picture of a nicely designed system. It might give you some ideas to pursue of your own. One of the features of this design that I like is that the storage tank is accessable for repairs if needed rather than being completely enclosed in soil. I would also add a way of pumping the water to the upstairs area using a solar or hand pump. Maybe even install a small tank in the attic that would gravity feed to the rest of the house if primary power was lost. The head pressure from the tank would feed the downstairs area as long as the water level in the tank remained above the outlet point.
