I was wondering, how one can use/make a code in conjuction to the already built in ad profile options to do this: Admin makes a new field, that doesn't show up. It says RPG name, or secondary name or something. Next there is the code I need to figure out how to make, or get help from someone to make it. It uses that, and in post's, changes their Username up at top of mini-profile, to that field. What it does, is it would allow the user to use nickname's or other names, without the changing of his username :p |

First, you'd create the profile field like you would normally. And then you'd use a code to find all instances of that field on a topic page. Get the new name of the member, change it, and then delete that field from view. It'd be pretty simple. |

you could move the username field to the top of the profile editing table/div, so it doesn't look out of place. also, it's not as hard as it seems. though, since it's all just one big table now, for the posts, you're going to have to be tricky when changing the name. d: |

It's not possible in css. I'll give you a starting point:
From there you could loop through all of them checking if they have the profile field with their desired name. That name would go in a variable. Hide that profile field. Change the username shown with the name that you stored in the variable. |

Wait, so I am so confused. How do I make it into a code? After that, how does one Get them to switch places? (I want to say in the profile place, where the fake names is, to say real user name, and their username in it.?) |
