What do you mean?
Just do this:
Code:

.user_info{
background: #ff00ff;
color: #000000
}

OR
Code:

#user_info{
background: #ff00ff;
color: #000000
}

It's in the CSS, just a bit unclear:
Quote:

td.c_user dl {
background:#f6f6f6;
border:1px solid #e7e7e7;
margin:10px 0;
padding:5px 7px;
width:160px;
}

The background colour is there. It's dl.user_info. The box with custom fields set by admins is dl.user_profile.

Quite honestly, you should just remove those orange strips (they serve no purpose :S) by doing this:
Quote:

#top_bar, #submenu_bar { display: none; }

Add to CSS.

Ok and what about the announcements description as it has seemed to blend in with my BG color

so I can make the orange bits at the top bit to the 800px width?

I did some playing around and if you go to your css and find submenu_bar

then add this

width:800px;

Then change the margin:0 2%; to margin:0 10.3%;

It fixes the problem. If you find that it is not quite right on your board then you might want to adjust the width size or if it seems to be an alignment issue change the 10.3% to another number accordingly.

It works on my board with the settings I posted :) I would post a link but I don't want to be told I'm advertising

Thanks, Nicola!! :D I've decided to remove the dang orange bars since they don't work on an 800 width board.

...Oops, I accidentally posted a link to my board in one of my posts... @_@;; *goes off to look for it*
