I'm trying to convert THIS Invisionfree skin into a ZB Theme. The site I got the skin from states that skins can be converted (just in case that info is needed). I've gotten THIS far with converting. There is still work to be done, I know, but it's coming along nicely.

But what I'm having the most difficult time with is converting the left and right borders that run up and down the forums (I don't know what they are actually called). Could anyone offer any help?

Headers from IF skin:
Spoiler: click to toggle

Footers from IF Skin
Spoiler: click to toggle

CSS from IF skin
Spoiler: click to toggle

EDITED: I've been trying to follow THIS doc, but it isn't going too well.

My Layout now looks like
Spoiler: click to toggle

And I've added the following to my CSS. I'm not sure if it matters where in the CSS this info goes. I put it near the top where it's easy to find. :unsure:

Use this for the side_l and side_r. You just forgot about the padding and margin :)
Code:

#side_l {
background: url (http://i5.ifrm.com/3357/43/upload/p62123.gif) repeat-y left;
}

#side_r {
background: url (http://i5.ifrm.com/3357/43/upload/p62128.gif) repeat-y right #161616;
margin-left:30px;
padding-right:30px;
}

Remove the spaces between the url and ( . For both.

It's always the simplest things, huh? :P

The side banners show up, but is there a way to make them flush against the forums? Right now, they are at the very edges of the screen. Is this possible? I tried playing around with the padding, but the images didn't move inward any.

Remove the width from the Theme Settings, and then use the #main_content CSS snippet to control the width of the board (it's currently set ti 100% width). Then we'll go from there.

Done. I have managed to get the side banner flush against the logo banner on the far right side, but it is a bit off on the far left. The submenu and top bar (which I re-located) aren't even anymore and neither match the width of the h2 image. I'm guessing I'll need to adjust the margins of the two to correct this, yeah?

You have a CSS error at the top:
CSS

html,body {
background:#161616;
color:#A6A6A6;
font-family: "Verdana", "Tahoma", "Arial}, sans-serif;
font-size:93.3%;
margin:0;
padding:0;
}

Make that } into a ".

I can help you with the rest but I have a bit of a headache at the moment so I should go take some aspirin. If no one else can help you when I get back, I'll help you then.

Finding an unrelated error in a CSS while helping with side banner placement...I bow to your skills. :O

I work third shift, so I need to find me something to eat then head to bed for a few hours, myself. I'll have to pick this back up when I get off work in the morning. I still have a lot of things to fix, so I'm sure I'll have plenty things to occupy my time until someone can help me further. Posted Image
