I was wondering, how to put up my own Logo for Nicola's Skin: Simplicity. Thanks for your time! |

When you make a new theme, at the bottom it will give you an input box for logo. If you've already created the theme, then under theme settings you can edit the logo. |

That would normally work, but for whatever reason, parts of the background wrap around it on the top, left, and right, and it juts out of the logo area on the right. |

ah. then locate the logo section of the css and see what the background image is. I'll move this topic over to Theme Support. Nicola will likely be able to help you further in a few hours when she gets on. |

Well the first thing to mind is that your banner is too wide for the theme + your resolution. I can tell you how to make the theme wider, but that banner is still too wide for users with 1024x768 resolutions, for instance. A banner ideally should be around 730-750px in width. |

I've recreated the banner, at 740px in width. However, it appears much too short. |

I'm unsure what to tell you, really. The theme I created (that one) is normally stretchy, i.e it has a percentage width. You've fixed that width, which is too wide for a very common resolution. You complained that it was jutting out at the right, which suggested that the banner was too wide for it to fit on the board for your resolution...which is why I gave you a perfectly valid suggestion: make it shorter, or make the board wider. Now you've fixed the width so it most definitely is bad for any user with a 1024x768 resolution, regardless of the banner. I have told you all possible solutions for your problem. If you want to complain about the banner being too short, then that is nothing I can help you with. Therefore I shall mark this as 'solved'. |
