Well, if you'd like to take a look at it from a skinners' point of view, there's first off the method for changing a cursor. Any selector with { cursor: ...; } in it. The list of available default ones: URLs, auto, crosshair, default, pointer, move, e-resize, ne-resize, nw-resize, n-resize, se-resize, sw-resize, s-resize, w-resize, text, wait, help, and of course inherit. Now, you want to replace the 'text' one. Hence you want to replace where 'text' is 'default'. What's difficult is finding the appropriate selector... That is, where to change the text cursor... You might need to try other users for help. If there's anything else you'd like, I may be able to assist you. As far — Hang on.
Do you perhaps mean the icon when you're actually posting? That might be changeable, but to be definite you'd have to tell me which software you're using. As a general guess, try using this (it may not work depending on your software choice, as I said!)

He means when you hover over a piece of text, so this what ive now posted. It will come up with a an image which looks like '|' or 'I'. With this you just drag over the text to Highlight it. Would you be able to help me with a Loading or Wait Cursor, ive tried the Wait, but i might of not done it correctly. If you wouldnt mind. EDIT: Also before i forget, is there a way to make a Cursor Smaller? I dont have a program to edit it with, Just hoping there is a code i could use to make it smaller. Oh. Okay. Hmm... That may take some adaptation. One of my mates just got his face bust up so I can't really sit and test stuff right now, lol, sorry! Wait is rendered differently by different browsers. FF3 it comes up as a watch animation. What are you looking for, and where do you want it to appear? Edit. The only way to do that would be to exchange the cursor for a custom one, that was just a replication of the default but shrunk. It may not be a particularly user-friendly idea, though... Yeah his description is more accurate, but that's what I mean. The cursor you see when typing a text it changes to what looks like a capital I. That's what I want to change. Software, not using any software in particular, just ZB's CSS. If it's possible I want to try it, because i've been using the cursor set since 1997. They are that good, beside that it matches my theme well. So if it can be done post it please. Good luck with your friend man, hope he's allright. So get out of here and go be where you're needed most

The Wait i mean like when you click on a Link it comes up with a Watch or a SandTimer (whatever they are called) which appears when Loading something or a next screen. Here is the Image i'm trying to use. http://z3.ifrm.com/93/147/0/f77246/WorkinginBackground.ani Also.. Hope you mate is okay. Could anyone recommend me a free program which lets me customize Cursor Files? Edited by WeirdAdz, May 24 2008, 05:58 PM.

Can't do much. It's after midnight over here. Righty, well I now know 100% what you mean Ambrosia. Butttt I'm not sure if I can solve it. Try, similar to last efforts:
Hopefully it'll work. If not... Gimme a buzz. As for you WA... That may be more difficult. What you're looking for is to change the cursor for when a page is semi-loaded... I don't think that's even possible, tbh, due to the nature of the page being semi-loaded. It may be possible if you had access to server-side JS (which you don't unfortunately ) but otherwise it's a no-go, unless someone else can enlighten us. Sorry buddy!

Yup that did the trick Only 3 thing left, same hover text cursor, but for forms. When hovering over forms it uses a default one, instead of the one that's being used for hovering over text. Anyway to do that? And when clicking on normal buttons (onclick), it uses the hand cursor, while on some buttons it uses a default pointer. Feel free to post all the posible cursor codes you know. I can test them out and see which works. Edited by Ambrosia, May 24 2008, 06:31 PM.
