Can someone help me to create an Iframe that will show a single thread inside of it? It would be incredibly helpful for a special news box on my site. And as far as IFrames maybe messing with ad credits, my board does not and will not be getting ad removal so it won't be a bid deal. I'm just curious as to weather or not this is possible. |

I would have to dis-agree with that. I managed to get one that works, and it will show the latest post for my purposes, but it only does that after a user has clicked the mark all posts as read button at least once. Is there any way that I can get it to show only the latest post in the thread displayed? Edit: Here's the code I'm using so far. Actually it's just the HTML for an IFrame but still.

You got it to work? Mind telling? I tried it earlier, and it took it right from the area to the site itself instead of just showing it. |

That should work, of course they would be able to go around to other threads through that, but it sould work. I would take of the new, and have it go to the first post of the thread instead though. |

Thats what it does by that code, the URL it has and the no scroll stops them from moving around to see other things. However, if they haven't seen the thread that is loaded before, It shows the top of the board rather than the announcement post. At least thats what my tests have shown. After they have clicked the "Mark all Forums read" thing it works fine and shows the latest post. I'm not quite sure why |

Hmmm..I got you a fix. http://s1.zetaboards.com/hea/single/?p=6662&t=253192 Try that, it should bring it right to the first post, if it does not work, simply enable scrolling mate :p |

I will try that. Edit: It didn't work like I'd have hoped, for that I would need to enable scrolling. I think I'll just leave a reminder at the top of my board for the news box and it should go over fine. Thanks for the help! Edited by skiingiggy, May 3 2008, 06:50 PM.

Yeah, Scrolling is your best bet. |
