On other sites that I own, I can place a two part code...the first part in the javascript area, and the second part in the header (above board) area which will open a chatroom popup window when the link is clicked from the menu. I know the code is correct because I use it on numerous sites. Why won't Zetaboards allow me to do it? How can I create a popup when a menu link is clicked? Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

Zetaboards uses a different doctype, which might be the reason. Please note that we cannot give support for third-party codes. If you cannot get it working yourself you'll have to ask for help from where you got the chatbox from. |

The code came from a simple pop up generator at dynamic drive. I tried everything I can think of to get it to work. Is there a code that I can use to open a menu link in a popup? Any code is fine as long as it works. I can use one of the codes in the code index to place the link into the menu, but I just need it to open in a popup when clicked. |

Can you please provide a link to your board? I'll try my best at helping you. ![]() Edit -- Argh, I'm an idiot. It's probably the board in your signature, right? XD I can make it (with some JS) so that it opens in a pop up. What size do you want the pop up window to be? Edited by choco, Mar 2 2008, 09:18 AM.

I did the same thing, with the same code from Dynamic Drive in the past. It turns out you don't need a two part code anymore. Just do something like this at the exact point you want the link that will pop-up:
Just change the url to the page you want, change the width and height according to your specifications. You can allow resizing or not, or scrolling or not. It's up to you. No separate javascript is needed in the <head> section. Edited by jackster, Mar 2 2008, 11:39 PM.
