Code: HTML

$("table").children("iframe:contains('')").parent().attr("id","googleads");

Then between the apostrophes in contains('') add something that is unique to the google ad's iframe.

<script type="text/javascript">
$("script[@src*=show_ads.js]").next("iframe").parent().addClass("ads");
</script>
Yours doesn't work, Viral :( I just tried it.

That'll work though. Just skin .ads in the CSS.

It worked in a sense, I could skin the table behind the ads individually, but the ads themselves stayed white even with no background on the .ads bit. I appreciate the effort though. I'm sure I saw a script somewhere which could get the ads directly by changing the actual ads themselves - like the google_bg color, google_border color (or something along those lines), but I no longer remember where the board was or if it's even open anymore.

Nicola, why can't you just tell us what CSS class changes the google ads' background? The ads do blend in on some themes, so there must simply be something we forgot to style... right?

If I had to guess it would say it is based off one of the <td> parts of the CSS.

Maybe because I don't know? I've stated this several times. The links are dependent on the generic links in the CSS, but the background...I don't know. If you edit your theme completely the google ads adjust to the theme. Mine do it, yours should to. Sorry but combing through the CSS and editing each background would not be a good use of my time. Why should I waste my time doing it anyway? The google ads are programmed to blend in eventually, at least that is what I've been told... and it's true. I already spend enough of my time trying my best to make creating custom themes on Zetaboards easier, but the google ads technically have nothing to do with the theme.

Also Dromin, we weren't discussing the Google ads themselves, but the cell behind it. Please read topics properly before commenting like that.

I am going to completely ignore this thread now. I think you're all just...getting way over the top about the ads. They maintain this service, so why don't you appreciate them more instead of getting into silly coding contests (sorry but some of you are and I am tired of seeing some of you doing it in multiple areas of this board -_- ) and complaining about them? Editing your theme properly and they change. I can be 100% certain of that because my themes all have custom google ad backgrounds. They blend in. The ads aren't allowed to be invisible. Making them the least visible isn't going to make your theme any better either.

Nicola sighs.

I already mentioned here which class controls the ads.

Yes. It is the class of the board statistics.
