Does it ever end! I'm a huge advocate of kids solving their own problems. I wont always be there, a parent will not always be there. You got to do the dirty work at some point. Better to learn it as a child then an adult. How do you handle it? Here's a few examples I've been encountering: Doctor Kit - "I am the only one who can be the doctor, everybody else has to be MY patient." Books (meant for 2 people, hide and find type books) - "I will not share this book, I am going to hide it so nobody else except me can look at it." Which the second goes for toys as well - its the same general idea. |

Kids sometimes have a hard time thinking of anyone but themselves. Usually when the girls act like that the toy becomes MY toy and no one gets to play with it but me   |

yup - girls! Drama QUEENS each and every one of them! Makes my head spin. I expect ego-centric thinking because well, they are kids. But it seems like at some point they can at least learn how to share! It is just so funny! The 4 yr old who doesn't ever want to share, taddles to me saying how another child says the toys are "mine" and she says, "they are Hailey's toys not her toys so she can't say its mine." I just have to giggle because in her mind it totally makes sense and is rational. |
