I'M SURE, it has to do with the fact that she knows something is going on and even though we talk about it she doesn't understand or "get" it.

For the last almost month, she had directed the potty stuff. She'll just run into the bathroom and pull her pants down do everything herself start to finish. She'll go in the morning, after lunch, after nap, and when DH gets home and if she needs to in between but generally those are the consistent times. So I know if she wants to she can hold herself from 7am to 12pm with no problems if she wants too.

Well, all this week she is having accidents left and right. And of course I run out of long pants for her. I only have 4 pairs of plan jeans. The rest are dressy for going out to eat or church - not play. I need to buy some more. All her 2T's are above her ankles, but 3Ts are falling off her bottom! I need a 2.5T {LOL]. Anyways, it has just been accident after accident after accident after accident (Well you get the picture). I don't get it. She goes from 100% potty trained to unpotty trained in just a day. I feel like this: :atomic: Yesterday I was so upset, I just made her stay in the pee clothes. She didn't like it, but still had more accidents. My bathroom smells like pee (asked J to start some laundry of pee stuff...he didn't, and I crashed when I got home from class). She always regresses when we have a change and She's only ever lived in this house, and sees boxes of her stuff and other stuff. Going to put any kid into a panic.

Is this normal for kids? Should I just keep putting undies on her and just put shorts on even if its too cold! Or just throw a diaper on her. She's not night time trained by any means. i'm just beyond frustrated right now!

NEVER go back to diaper!!!!! That is the WORST thing you can do!! Once you make the full transition to panties.... stick with it and deal with accidents. Putting a diaper back on her will only confuse her and cause her to regress even more! AND its sending the message to her that its OKAY to pee her pants. know what i mean?

it sucks, but im sure she'll snap out of it. Sometimes kids loose their rhythm. One accident just dominoes into a day full of them! Justine is that same way. She's been trained for what 2 years now? If she has one accident.... boom boom boom.... all day long! Then the next morning she wakes up and starts the day on a fresh slate and usually is fine. So maybe she's just out of rhythm and when things get settled she'll go back to normal.

In the mean time, put her on the potty more often. maybe give her less to drink. and hope and pray!

I think its normal. My kids always went to the potty on and off from 18 months on and then suddlenly when they decided they wanted to wear undies, they never had accidents! Jaden didnt potty train until a month after he turned 3, and Autumn was a few months before she turned 3. So Im sure Savannah will be around there to. I just wouldnt push it or get upset. She will do it when she wants. You know she can, so now its all about her deciding on her own when she wants to go all the time in the potty. Dont worry it will happen!

I think my problem is I *KNOW* she can do it and it frustrates me to no end when she has the accidents. Because in my mind - she's able to hold her pee and is able to go through the process herself start to finish. She has the verbal, physical, and mental skills to do it - so why not just do it. I guess part of it might be to get a reaction. But it dawned on me [happened again] its always when we're sitting at the table she'll have an accident IN THE CHAIR. So I'm wondering if her drink is just going right through her. So I'm going to start putting her one the potty before and after meals [or drinks]. I don't n ormally let her have a sippy and walk around - and we're toying around with open cups because I don't have the space for sippy cups anymore!

Think maybe she is doing it because of the changes that are happening so fast? Kids are sensitive to change so just curious if that might be it.

Be glad that she attempts to go. My daughter just turned 3 and REFUSES to use the potty no matter what I do!

The little boy I babysit has been potty trained for a year (he is 3) and he went poop in his pants at the park with his mom. He will also pee in his pants here and not tell me!

Some kids don't seem to mind as much to be in wet pants I guess! Just stick with it and try not to get mad. She might like that reaction.

well, you know i understand your frustration, only mine is way worse.
gabey's going to be 5 next month, and still refuses to poop on the potty. it's been horribly annoying. most of the time, i'll just keep him in pullups, so i don't have to mess with him pooping his underwear when we're out.
and when he's in pullups, he gets lazy and won't pee on the potty either.

i'm going to get to the point where i just make him be naked for a while at home, so he can't poop except on the potty.

i'm praying like crazy that giddy potty trains himself pretty easily. he's been awesome in every other milestone.

oh yea, I bet that is worse! Did you talk to his doctor? I know most of my textbooks say majority of children potty train by age 5. But he's had a lot going on, so i'm sure that is a factor too.

Well, that can be a good thing! My bro had to have a lot of testing done because he wasn't even pee trained when starting Kindergarten. Turns out he has an ultra small bladder. At 17, he still has to cut himself off liquids several hours before bed!

it's funny... potty training was the thing i was worried about most when i found out i was pregnant. maybe it was premonition on how badly it would go for me. i'm even afraid to get a puppy just for that reason, lol.

he isn't usually regular, and that makes a lot of problems, because of the chemo he's on- it's constipating... so i can tell that's a big issue, going from one extreme to the other every month. i'm ready for it allllll to be done. and i'm so inconsistant... i have the mirilax, and benifiber, and he still has problems, because i haven't found a good system to make it in between... he's either stopped, or runny. ahhh. i'm so tired of poop. and on top of it all... i've been cleaning up charlie poop in the kitchen in the mornings. :(

Hailey is like that and she doesn't have chemo. She only has a BM maybe every 2-3 days. She has to really think about going. But if she says it, you better find a toilet quick! She hates the feel of poop though - pee is a whole nother story.

Potty training puppys is the worst! NEVER AGAIN! I'm so glad my cat litter trained VERY quickly. And he's a feral cat and he right away went into the litter box with no problems.
