Right now I just want to hang out - me and Hailey. She doesn't feel well. I have 2 other kids here and will have at least 2 other kids here the rest of the week. I can't "afford" to drop a day. I'm just trying to get through til the 20th. We have dentist appts, and a speech for school - but other then that it is family day. I can sleep in tahnk you god! I just feel stretched to the max! I have 6 kids on Monday and Tuesday mornings. The kids are not napping good. All I want to do is read a book, and take a nap cuddles with my princess [because all she wants is cuddles]. I really want a sick day. Oh and she's not feeling great so maybe I will have a sick day....IDK. At least Friday, I will only have the 3rd child for a few hours. It is just exhausting - I started watching a 4 year old a few times a week. She doesn't nap and refuses to "rest". I may just say "tough luck its nap/quiet time". It is just like I have to entertain her non-stop. And "why" all the time. She is the sweetest kid - I am just not used to older kids. I've always had kids 2 and under. 3s I'm in the middle, but 4s I have a really ahrd time with! |

Rachel, there is nothign wrong with you putting an age restriction on your job! at 4 she prob should be in preschool!! (unless she's a young 4) That is a big age gap from the other kids. If you are most comfortable with babies and toddlers... stick with that age! |

I really don't mind watching her, it just a big jump - something I need to adjust too. She missed the Kindergarten cut off by 3-4 months. The public schools have pre-k programs but they have to go to the most socio-economically needy. What they told mom when she tried to enroll is they were full, but on TV they keep saying they have over 1000 spaces to fill. Daycare preK programs are way to expensive [daycare is really inflated here in my opinion]. But it was an "emergency" basis I started watching her, and is temporary. The other girls will eventually be older so I've gotta deal with it. My first kiddo will be here until kindergarten at least. |
