Aryanna told me Friday she was scared to go to school Monday because a boy named Rocky said he was going to kill her. :-( I guess she and this girl Samantha were playing on recess Friday and did something Rocky didnt like. So he told Aryanna monday he was going to kill her! Aryanna told her teacher, and her teacher talked with Rocky. According to Aryanna rocky is bad news. He's been to the principles office 12 times since 1st grade!! I guess the name Rocky shoudl have been a clue! Has anyone known anyone with a name like that who WAS NOT a bully? LOL Well today she said Rocky was absent. So she's now scared to go Tuesday. I told her to just stay close to her teacher and tell her if he does anything. I want her to learn how to solve conflicts herself, but I want so badly to be mother bear and run into the school. Aryanna repeated the conversation to me, so when he says "kill" I dont think he actually means that. Just acting like tough guy in front of his friends. Its so sad that this is going on in second grade!!! I want so badly to homeschool!!!! I wish I had it in me! But she needs school for social reasons too. I just hate seeing my baby's feelings hurt. :( |

Have you talked to her teacher? I would at least just give a phone call and give the teacher a heads up. Maybe thats over reacting. A guy at my high school was rumored to have a hit list - and he did. Among other things. But in elementary school, it was just the kid who got in trouble a lot. TO me, it almost seems like an underlying problem that maybe needs to have a conference with mom/dad/guardian. Bullying is normally related to low self-esteem and self worth. If it can get figured out while he is still young the better. I don't know. Kids learn more and see more then we as adults did. I doubt he meant it literally, but the fact that a 2nd grader said it is still alarming to me. I'm so analytical when it comes to this stuff So I could just be a crazy person blowing it up in my mind. |

I would give the teacher a chance but if it happened again I personally would contact the school in the form of email or snail mail. Not just for the safety of your own child but the boy needs help. |
