Moving day! We made it

We made it! We're moving today. We closed yesterday, although one signature is missing so they couldn't record it at the court house yesterday. It will be recorded by 4:30 today though. But we have the ok to go ahead and move in - just as our agent said "don't turn on the fire place, or grill, or start any fires - if I have to I'll order ya'll a pizza or take out." I was giggling, but I'm so stinking excited! I'm going to be without internet until Thursday though. That is the earliest Time Warner will come out to redo our stuff.

So, its been a journey. I don't think anyone realizes how long this journey really took for (me) and for (us). For me, it began when I was bouncing around so much in HS after my parents seperation/divorce in gosh 2002. Really started working towards the house in 2005 when we got pregnant with Hailey. We went to BOA and filled out paperwork just to see what we could get approved for - and they said 120k MAX. So we searched in the 100-110k range and were appalled at the neighborhoods, the schools, etc. If we were going to be in debt for the next 30 years of our lives we wanted better. We took the financial peace university class almost 2 years ago (Started in Feb 08). We'll be officially debt free minus the house and car (car will be tax time) once we get the rebate money. Total when said and done will have paid off almost 40-50k in debt. We looked at the upwards of 30 houses before making an offer. Our offer was accepted in August. But we've been waiting and waiting since then due to the FHA's 91 day rule. Now we've moving today! We'll sleep at our "home" tonight! I'm so excited!

We're moved!

Angi - I send a "share this photo album" thing from Jeremiah's facebook. They are just bare room pictures though. NO new ones yet. But really there isn't much to show yet! We still have a lot in the garage and are still unpacking. I should have the playroom or at least phase one done this weekend, as well as phase one of the kitchen.

Of course my poor baby got hurt the first time we visited the neighborhood playground :(
We went today and she put her baby doll onto the big kid swing and tried to push the doll. I told her, Hailey that doesn't look safe - why not swing with your baby. Sure enough as soon as I finished the sentence the swing smacked her in the face and she got a bloody nose. First one ever too! I felt terrible - but she handled it well. She inisited that her nose was not bleeding!
