Pick up your dog poop!!

Ok now that I have THAT out!

We got home today, and had a notice on our door from the apartment complex we live in. The notice says its a final warning/notice that we need to pick up our dogs crap or we must remove our dog from the apartment building, and be fined, and have a violation of our contract! I'm livid. We're one of the few residents that actually pick up our dog's poop. Granted there are a few times where I've been out of plastic bags or something to pick it up, but at least 98% of the time we pick it up. We've never received a notice before about anything related to this manner. EVER! I had to pick Hailey up because there was so much dog crap on the grassy area. She kept stepping in it poor thing.

And here's what makes me so mad...
We've had pests left and right. When we move we're tossing both sets of mattresses and buying new mattresses because God only knows whats living inside them at this point. We've had to throw away a set of suitcases (more then one...we had a ton of duffle bags under the bed with ticks and/or tick eggs in it). Our coach, and other soft surfaces bugs can get into and lay eggs we're tossing and buying new when we buy our house. The only thing they'll offer to us is to spray pesticide in our house once a week or every two weeks (which they do) and we're still seeing bugs left and right. And they keep saying "Well haven't you live in *city* before? Its just the way it is here!" NO its not! I've lived in NC since I was 8, specifically this area of the city since I was 16. I'll be 23 in Sept -- I've never ever seen this many bugs WHILE spraying for pests on a monthly or more often plan. I've never had a tick in my house, spiders in the amount we have (We kill at least 1-2 every day), and who knows how many more bugs we can't identify. H and J are always eaten up by bugs. And then we're getting a darn notice about picking up our dogs poop!!!!!!!! Can if give you a notice that unless that we're leaving as soon as we find a house and can close, even if that is next week!!! Granted we need to wait until October to have a maximum down payment. I mean, we have wanted to buy a new mattress for our bed for a LONG time - our mattress is the one that I was conceived on - just to give you an idea of how old it is! We need a new one anyways. I'm just so fed up with all the drama at this apartment complex. They never sent out a notice to check their dogs for ticks or inspected others apartments or pets for ticks or other pests we keep finding -- to find the root cause. It just really irritates me.

That would make me furious but I guess when you complain about them which I feel that you have every right to do so about it.

Proably makes the owners end up complaining about the complainers but have to find a 'reason to complain before they complain.

It's weird but that's how its with landlords these days.

Bugs in the house is a 'safety issue for kids' because it's unhealthy especially with ticks.

Did you ever report your living enviroment to the police and how you tried to fix the bug infestation ? How the people are spraying but not getting it.

I have heard of a certain vinegar (can't remember what kind) of getting rid of lice maybe vinegar would help get rid of your guys pesty bugs .

The apartment complex has done a good faith effort to correct the bug infestations, but IMHO they can do more and treat the entire building and inspect the entire building not just go off of which residents complain about pests and which ones done...and assume because they don't report an infestation that they don't have one.

What I've been told, is really we can't do anything legally. They are doing their part and all they could really offer is to switch to a new apartment or onto a 2nd or 3rd floor apartment (We're on the first floor now, and apparently pests are worse on the first floor). They've also been treated the few wooded areas, and have sent out letters asking residents not to walk their dogs in those areas. But it doesn't mean that a tick or whatever can't fall and explode on a dog - we never walk buddy inthe wooded areas!
