How do deal with it positively? There are just a few things that irk me. They are out of my control, but it still affects a large portion of my day. I don't come in until 9am, but the kids arrive in my class as early as 7am. So I've specifically written notes about each child and their individual routines and ask they stick to it. Well, nobody looks at it. They'll do things like put a baby down for a nap when they are hungry - they'll fight the nap, but fall asleep. Wake up shortly after I arrive (sleeping maybe 30 mins), still hungry - give them a bottle and they sleep for an hour and half. WHY CAN'T YOU JUST LOOK AT MY PAPER AND SEE THAT THEY NEED A BOTTLE THEN A NAP!!!!!! Seriously!? I'm just lost. Its stuff like that. Then I have a few projects I need to get done in my classroom, and a coworker keeps asking the completion rate on them (on behalf of the boss), I'm no where near done - let alone have started, because well its a struggle to write on daily sheets that takes a matter of 5 minutes if that. Let alone those projects that are more intense and require more concentration. With school next semester, I feel like I am going to kill myself (not literally, just the energy drained away over expending myself way) with all the lesson plans, school assignments, internship, school hours, etc. My plan is to work 7 to 6, 4 days a week. I'll have class one night from 6:30 to 10, and another night 6:30 to 8:20. I think I'm just going to have to end up working 730 or 8 to 530, so I have some time with my family. |

My long term goal is to be in that leadership role. One day....right! I love leadership roles. I just need to gain more experience before pursuing that - LOL! |
