As long as I retain my current roster, cap, picks, I'm quite happy. Also if you need help in any way, shape, or form, I'm here to help.

robby's idea isn't impossible...re-signings might be hectic, but then again, its just a matter of editting individual contracts manually, which might take me a while

i'm actually not worried about the re-signings. we have all of that history, and it's going to be the same. even if it were not, i can easily go into the player file and alter their salaries to be close to, if not exact replicas of, the salaries that you have all accepted in the re-signings thread.

it's going to be tedious completely reproducing our playoff history.

what i envisioned was that the outcome of the FBB sim would be asterisked, so if the suns or the pistons or the bucks won the championship, it wouldn't count. we would still affirm that robby and the lakers are the 1997 season champs.

I know this happens, seen it a lot in leagues.

Probably, option C would be hugely tempting for myself but i'm the minority. Plus this had to be the season I'm coming off a game 7 finals appearance and now have a lot of future picks setup to help me stay that way so I think option B is the best.

B is the best way in my opinion.

For Option B, I have an idea, not sure how possible it is..

But since there are only 10 days left in the regular season on the back up file, I'm pretty sure most of the awards will be the same for the most part. Then, you can save it.

Next, you keep simming the playoffs as long as the Lakers and Bucks win their round. Once they both win their round, save it, and do it again until you get the championship. The finals history will not need an asterick. If that's too much of a hassle, then we can just archive it. Am I being a little greedy because I want my championship on the history? Ofcourse. And I'm sure Dnom wants his finals appearance. I think my plan would be pretty easy to do. But if not, then whatever, we just put an asterick next to everything and move on. What you guys think?
Well that last part about making sure the Lakers and Bucks win is 100% pointless but yeah, the awards will probably be the same and the resigning stuff will be the same as well so you could sim through the file you have. Who cares if it mimic's what happened already.

And like I said last night in our discussion Dave, you take whichever route you feel is best for the league.

If you wanted me to choose an option, I'll be the lone option C guy. You can talk up parity or activity all you want but the activity isn't there like you guys think it is. There's a handful of you that are busting your ass and that's masking the inactivity of the other 20 guys. A full reboot would revitalize the interest those who aren't paying attention have in the league and would also make it appealing to those not in the league since it's a new league. I don't wanna turn this into an argument or anything, so just know I'll accept and continue to work with whatever option Dave chooses but that's how I feel about it.

so far it's looking like Option B. thanks all for your input so far.

let's continue with the draft- it might help if you all save your roster page (especially salary info). we should have everything up and running again by wednesday morning hopefully.

Resignings wouldn't be hectic, I'm also positive the same players would ask for the same amounts.

even better. i wasnt sure about that.

yeah the thing about making the lakers/bucks thing is pointless, would be solely for league consistency, i guess, if we were to look back 10 years down the road.
