Bidding Format Every bid must be sent this way. If it is not, I will not accept it.
Obviously if you're gonna send in 50 bids for your LLE I'll take a simple list for those, but if you are sending in specific deals, I want you to use that format. I'm also using this free agency as somewhat of a check-in. If you don't send me bids for any of the rounds, you're out on your ass. I have people waiting so don't tempt me. Schedule I’ve changed my mind about the rounds system, but just for this free agency. Since the pool is quite bare and pretty much nobody has any money at all to spend, we’re just gonna have two rounds. Round One (Days 1 & 2): Wednesday (8/8/09) @ 9 PM Central Round Two (Days 3-5): Friday (8/10/09) @ 9 PM Central Bird Rights If you own a player’s Bird Rights (3 or more) you are able to offer a player a max contract for 7 seasons at 12.5% raises. If you do not have bird rights, you may offer a max contract for 6 seasons with 10% raises. Exceptions For the first couple seasons here, the league has spoken and we will NOT be using the Mid-Level Exceptions for free agency. However, you do still have your Lower-Level Exception of $1.2 million to spend if you choose to do so. Just remember, you cannot offer it if you have MORE then $1.2 million in cap space. Maximum One Year Deals Since nobody has any cap space we won’t need to deal with this just yet. Minimum Deal Years As always with SSBL, you may only offer minimum contracts for up to TWO years. No more. If you want to retain a player’s bird rights you’re just gonna have to figure out a way to offer 3 years, which means cap space ![]() Max Amounts The amount that can be offered in a max deal is based on three key components. A player's experience in the league (located on a player's stats page), the amount of bird years and the current state of the salary cap. Here's how it breaks down: 1-6 years of experience = 25% of cap 7-9 years of experience = 30% of cap 10+ years of experience = 35% of cap For the 1990 season, if a player has 1-6 years of experience, the first year of a max deal would be $6 Million (25% of 25 million). 7-9 years of experience, it's $7.2 million (30%). 10+ years experience, it's 8.4 million (35%). Hard Cap Just wanted to note the amount and to tell you to make sure you stay under the hard cap, which will be $45 Million for the 1990 season. Since nobody has any cap space, you'll basically be fucked if you get over. If you don't know what the hell you're doing in terms of offers please ask. You will be held directly responsible if Rick Barry ends up with a $30,000,000 contract. Arenas Rules There aren’t gonna be any expiring 2nd rounders for a couple years so we won’t need to worry about this. I’m just keeping it here so I don’t forget to add the rules and whatnot for it when the time comes. |
