This is a really, really interesting video (if you're into this kind of thing, I guess). This man had had some symptoms of epilepsy, which actually means the brain sends too many signals too quickly. Therefore, he had his corpus callosum, the part of the brain that connects the left side to the right side, cut, so the epilepsy couldn't travel from one side to the next.

This shows pretty well that the right side of the brain handles creative processes, and the left side handles logical/language processes. Note also that, relative to vision, anything to the right field of view goes to the left side of the brain, and anything to the left field of view goes to the right side of the brain. That's why the psychologist had the man stare at the dot in the center of the screen, so he could show the man different things in his left and right fields of view.

Hope I explained all that well enough...Anyways, here's the video:

Very interesting.
I did hear of this in psychology.
It's strange how the mind works.

Also, if you take away half of a humans brain do you know
what happens? Most people would say that the person would die or something.

Nope, if you take away one half it seems to have no negative effects.
Usually done to stop seizures.
